WRPF UK - 2025 National Championships

After a great start to the first half of the year, we feel excited to introduce a national championships for 2025.

The WRPF Showdown will become our national event in 2025 and for the first year, it will be hosted in Nottingham Strong.

The split will be as follows.

Saturday the 6th of December - All Open & Masters Men

Sunday the 7th of December - All Women. All Teen & Junior Men

You will be able to qualify for this event at ANY of our competitions, so long as you hold a WRPF UK Membership. 

This also means you may qualify at our WRPF Novice events if you happen to hit the qualifying criteria and also hold a WRPF Membership.

If you hit the qualifying criteria at an IPL or A/BPU event whilst holding a WRPF UK membership and we can verify this on OpenPowerlifting then you will also be able to qualify on those platforms for our national event. Just like how you can use our platform, to qualify for theirs.

Qualifying & Weight Classes

You may move up a weight class for nationals as long as you've hit the required qualifying total for that weight division. You are NOT permitted to move down a weight class from the one you have qualified in.

As we're now introducing this event for next year, we will allow all competitions from the WRPF Open back in May, forward, to act as qualifiers.

The qualifying period will end in September 2025 for the National Showdown in 2025.

Space Availability - This event will be a two day event with 60 spaces per day meaning 120 competitors may compete across the weekend.

However, this does mean spaces are limited and once the event is full, we're afraid it is full. 

Entries for Nationals will go live every year from the 1st of September and will close once the event is full.
